Road deaths across Europe have risen overall during the first half of 2007, according to the latest figures, which also show that some countries have seen big falls while others have experienced rises.
France, for example, has seen a 40 per cent decrease, while Germany has seen an 8 per cent increase and Denmark and Finland increases of 40 per cent, according to figures from the International Automobile Federation.
